Abstract

Secondary title: RELIVING OF A NATURAL PHENOMENON - MOVEMENT OF THE EARTH - THROUGH DANCE
Secondary abstract: My thesis titled Reliving of a natural phenomenon - movement of the Earth - through dance consists of three intertwined entities - theoretical explanation, practical and empirical. The theoretical part has a detailed explanation of early natural science with emphasis on the Earth's movement; the practical part has an accurate description of planning, execution and evaluation of a dance production entitled Movement of the Earth; in the last part, findings of empirical research are presented. The research was used to establish how much and what pupils know about the movement of the Earth (rotation, revolution) before and after dance production. It was established that their knowledge was better before and not after the dance production (it is possible to find reasons in poor concentration of the children while at taking the test) and that it is possible to introduce many contents of in natural history in a non-school manner of teaching.
