Abstract

Namen diplomskega dela je demonstrirati koncept dodatnega varovanja omrežja podjetja z uporabo protokola IEEE 802.1x. Diplomsko delo opisuje postavitev strežnika, z aktiviranim NAP DHCP in NAP 802.1x skupaj s stikalom in odjemalcem. Na strežniku je nameščen operacijski sistem Windows 2008r2, za stikalo je uporabljen Cisco Catalyst 2950, ter računalnik oz. mobilni telefon kot odjemalec. Cilj uporabe mobilne naprave je bil spoznati podporne funkcije strežnika RADIUS, delovanje skupinske politike, komunikacija med napravami in zaščita omrežja. Osnovni sistem se lahko nadgradi, ker je protokol 802.1x zelo obširen. Osnovni sistem, ki smo ga postavili, je primeren za manjša podjetja ali spoznavanju protokola IEEE 802.1x.

Secondary abstract: The purpose of the study is to demonstrate the concept of a supplementary protection of the corporate network using the IEEE 802.1x protocol. The thesis describes a server with an activated DHCP NAP and NAC 802.1x along with the switch and the mobile client. The server is running Windows 2008R2, for the switch a Cisco Catalyst 2950 was used with a computer or mobile phone as a client. The objective of the use of mobile devices was to meet supporting functions of the RADIUS server, the operation of group policy, communication between devices and network protection. The basic system can be upgraded, because the 802.1x protocol is very extensive. The base system that was described in the paper is suitable for small businesses or as an introduction study of the IEEE 802.1x protocol.
