Abstract

V diplomskem delu je predstavljen vodik kot možno alternativno gorivo in možnost njegove uporabe v motorjih z notranjim zgorevanjem. Numerična simulacija je opravljena s programskim paketom AVL Boost, uporabljen pa je model Hondinega motorja D16Z6. Model je uporabljen tako za izračune z bencinom kot z vodikom, rezultati pa so uporabljeni za primerjavo moči, navora in izkoristka pri obeh režimih. Primerjava kaže, da je uporaba vodika v motorjih z notranjim zgorevanjem mogoča, vendar je potrebno prej odpraviti nekatere tehnične omejitve.

Secondary abstract: Diploma thesis presents hydrogen as potential alternative fuel and possibilities of use in internal combustion engines. AVL Boost is used for numerical simulation of a Honda D16Z6 engine model. Selected model is tested running with gasoline and with hydrogen. The results of both regimes are compared between each other in power, torque and efficiency. Comparison proves possibility of hydrogen use in internal combustion engines although certain technical limitations need to be solved first.
