Abstract

Magistrsko delo obravnava ureditev kolesarskih površin v mestu Slovenj Gradec.

Secondary title: REGULATION OF CYCLING SURFACES IN THE CITY OF SLOVENJ GRADEC
Secondary abstract: This master's thesis deals with the regulation of cycling surfaces in the city of Slovenj Gradec. The regulation was carried out with the aid of current conditions analysis, which is a starting point for suggested solutions. In the analysis of current conditions the existing cycling surfaces are presented in detail; they are sorted by the type of cycling connections. The final result of the analysis shows that the main problem is the discontinuity of cycling surfaces. This can be solved by adding new cycling surfaces, and by doing so, enabling better accessibility. In the thesis, new cycling surfaces are suggested, the focus being on sharing the main lane; the so called sharrow regulation treats cyclists as equal traffic participants. New cycling surfaces are introduced through sections, the course and regulation of which are presented in detail. Suggestions of parking facilities for cyclists are also proposed; they will satisfy the needs of stationary traffic, the result of the expected increase in bicycle traffic.
