Abstract

V času, v katerem živimo, se ne moremo izogniti besedi družbena odgovornost. Z njo se srečujemo na vsakem koraku, tako v zasebnem kot družbenem življenju. Njen pomen se spreminja skozi čas. Od mnenja, da gre pri družbeni odgovornosti samo za prostovoljne prispevke podjetij k skrbi za družbo in naravno okolje, do mnenja, da je to ena izmed stvari, ki lahko reši svet pred propadom. Tako kot se spreminja mnenje o družbeni odgovornosti, se spreminjata tudi njena vloga in pomen za podjetja. Če so pred leti podjetja lahko »spregledala« družbeno odgovornost, jo v sedanjih časih ne morejo več. Še več, ne samo da morajo sama delovati družbeno odgovorno, tudi poslovati morajo z dobavitelji, ki so družbeno odgovorni. Pri tem ima ključno vlogo oblikovanje oskrbovalne verige in izvajanje procesa nabave, ki zagotavlja potrebne materiale in polizdelke za osrednje podjetje. Za podjetja je tako vedno bolj pomembno, da izberejo ustrezne dobavitelje, ki bodo družbeno odgovorni ter bodo zagotavljali materiale in polizdelke, ki predstavljajo temelj za proizvodnjo družbeno odgovornih izdelkov osrednjega podjetja. V tem okviru je tako pomembna tudi metodologija ocenjevanja dobaviteljev, ki predstavlja osrednje področje obravnave magistrske naloge. Z magistrsko nalogo želimo prikazati, kako pomembno je družbeno odgovorno delovanje za konkurenčnost podjetja ter kakšno vlogo imajo pri tem njegovi dobavitelji. Naloga je razdeljena na dva dela. Prvi del je teoretične narave, kjer proučujemo znanstveno in strokovno domačo in tujo literaturo ter jo s pomočjo različnih metod analiziramo. Prvo poglavje je namenjeno uvodu in predstavitvi zasnovane naloge in poteka raziskave. V drugem poglavju opišemo pojem družbene odgovornosti, njen razvoj, različne koncepte družbene odgovornosti in metode ter notranjo in zunanjo dimenzijo. V nadaljevanju prikažemo možna orodja, s pomočjo katerih lahko podjetja vključijo družbeno odgovornost v svoje delovanje, ter navedemo različne poglede na družbeno odgovornost v sodobnih časih. V tretjem poglavju opredelimo pojem oskrbovalne verige, vlogo nabave v njej ter vlogo dobaviteljev. Za vsakega od naštetih opredelimo njegov pomen za družbeno odgovornost podjetja. V četrtem poglavju analiziramo naključno izbrane metode ocenjevanja in izbiranja dobaviteljev ter opredelimo kriterije, ki jih avtorji pri izbiri in ocenjevanju dobaviteljev najpogosteje navajajo, podjetja pa posledično v svoji praksi uporabljajo. Na temelju spoznanj iz prejšnjih poglavij v petem poglavju opredelimo ključne kazalnike za družbeno odgovorno delovanje podjetij in oblikujemo model za ocenjevanje družbene odgovornosti dobavitelja, ki bo dopolnjeval ocenjevanje dobavitelja po prevladujočih kakovostnih kazalnikih. V nadaljevanju naloge predstavljamo spoznanja izvedene raziskave o družbeni odgovornosti dobaviteljev mednarodnega proizvodnega podjetja s pomočjo razvitega modela ocenjevanja družbene odgovornosti dobaviteljev. Prav tako raziščemo, kako družbeno odgovorno je podjetje samo. V sklepnih poglavjih predstavljamo temeljne ugotovitve, ki izpostavljajo, kako pomembna je družbena odgovornost za podjetje ter kako pomembno je, da podjetje spremlja tudi svoje dobavitelje, kako družbeno odgovorni so.

Secondary title: Development and testing of the model for assessing social responsibility of the supplier
Secondary abstract: In times in which we live, we cannot avoid the word social responsibility. It can be found almost everywhere, both in private and in social life. Its meaning varies through the time: from the opinion that social responsibility means only voluntary contributions from the companies to natural and social environment to the opinion stating that this is one of things that can save the world from ruin. Just like the opinion on social responsibility is changing, its role and importance for the company is changing as well. If years ago the companies could “overlook” the social responsibility, today this is no longer possible. Moreover, not only the companies must act socially responsible by themselves, they must also do business with socially responsible suppliers. The key role in acting socially responsible is establishing a supply chain and implementing the purchasing process, which provides the necessary materials and semi-products for the focal company. It is becoming more and more important for the companies that they choose right suppliers who will be socially responsible and will provide materials and semi-products, which represent the basis for the production of socially responsible products of the focal company. In this context also the methodology of assessment of suppliers is very important, which presents the main topic of this thesis. In this master’s thesis we want to show how important is socially responsible acting for the competitiveness of the company and what is the role of its suppliers. The thesis is divided in two parts. The first part is theoretical in which we study the scientific and professional domestic and foreign literature and analyze it by means of different methods. In the first chapter we introduce and present the set task and course of research. In the second chapter, we describe the concept of social responsibility, its development, different concepts and methods of social responsibility as well as the internal and external dimension of social responsibility. Further, we show the tools with which the companies can integrate the social responsibility into their operations and we state different standpoints regarding social responsibility in modern times. In the third chapter, we define the term of supply chain, purchasing role and the role of suppliers. For each of them we define its significance for the company’s social responsibility. In the fourth chapter, we analyze randomly selected methods of assessment and selection of suppliers and define the criteria, which are most commonly used by the authors for the selection and evaluation of suppliers and that are consequently used by the companies in practice. Based on the findings from previous chapters, in the fifth chapter we define the key indicators for socially responsible acting of the companies and create a model for assessing supplier’s social responsibility, which will complete the assessment of the supplier according to the dominant quality indicators. The thesis further presents the findings of the research on social responsibility of suppliers carried out in an international manufacturing company using a developed model of assessment of social responsibility of suppliers. Besides that, we also investigate how socially responsible is the company itself. In concluding chapters, we present the basic findings, which highlight how important the social responsibility is for the company and how important it is for the company to monitor the social responsibility of its suppliers.
