Abstract

V magistrski nalogi smo analizirali jeklen cilindrični rezervoar na potresno obtežbo s pomočjo Evrokod-standarda. Uporabili smo postopke, predvidene v standardu za vrednotenje potresnih vplivov na konstrukcijo. Evrokod-standard podrobneje razlaga postopek vrednotenja vplivov na cilindrične rezervoarje v osnutku Evrokod 8, poglavje 4: Silosi, cevi in rezervoarji. Preverili smo ozadje formul, ki so predvidene v standardu. Izpeljali smo Laplaceovo diferencialno enačbo za reševanje hidrodinamičnih pritiskov. V nadaljevanju smo razložili in prikazali robne pogoje diferencialne enačbe za račun posameznih pritiskov. Predvideni postopek v Evrokodu nas pripelje do pritiskov, ki delujejo na plašč in dno rezervoarja. Te pritiske smo nato uporabili za numerično analizo rezervoarja. Za slednjo smo uporabili programsko opremo Abaqus. Ugotavljali smo, kako se obnaša rezervoar na potresno obtežbo. Na koncu naloge smo prikazali deformacije, nastale zaradi potresne aktivnosti na rezervoarju.

Secondary title: Seismic analysis of steel cylindrical liquid storage tanks
Secondary abstract: In my master thesis we did seismic analysis of a steel cylindrical liquid storage tank according to the Eurocode standards. We used procedures suggested in the standard for evaluating seismic effects on the structure. Eurocode standard explains the procedure for seismic analysis in details in the draft version of the Eurocode 8; Part 4: Silos, tanks and pipelines. We checked the background of the suggested equations in the standard. We derived the Laplace differential equation, which is used for solving hydrodynamic pressures. Further we explain and show the boundary conditions of the Laplace equation for solving specific pressures. With procedures in the standard we get pressures, which are acting on the wall and the bottom plate of the storage tank. We use the evaluated pressures for numerical analysis of the storage tank. Analysis was carried out in the software Abaqus. We tried to figure out how does the storage tank behaves under seismic activity. At the end we show the deformed shape of the storage tank under seismic load.
