(diplomsko delo)
Abstract
Metodologija: Pri izdelavi diplomskega dela smo uporabili deskriptivno (opisno) metodo dela. Podatke smo zbrali s pregledom domače in tuje strokovne literature in s podatkovno bazo COBISS.

This thesis presents the guidelines of a healthy weight loss which are based on guidelines of healthy diet. Being overweight worsens the quality of life, therefore, maintaining a balanced diet is crucial in all stages of the development of a child. The purpose of this thesis is to present healthy weight loss and the importance of a healthy lifestyle in overweight schoolchildren.
Methodology: We used a descriptive method using professional medical literature. The data were collected with the help of Slovenian and foreign literature and with the help of COBISS database.
Results: We have come to the conclusion that the trend of unhealthy eating habits is growing at an alarming rate. Children become overweight and obese for a variety of reasons. The most common causes are unhealthy eating patterns and lack of physical activity. Moreover, we concluded that a healthy way of losing weight requires discipline and a great measure of patience.
Discussion: Issues surrounding childhood obesity, nutrition, and physical activity are among the top concerns facing health care professionals today. Children at risk for being overweight or obese often carry multiple health problems into their adult lives. Family plays an important role in shaping of children's eating habits and understanding of healthy lifestyle. Nurses play a crucial role in promotion of healthy lifestyle patterns that reduce the risks of being overweight or obese as well as clinical dietitians who designs and supervises custom nutritional programs. |
