Abstract

Sprva so podjetja šele spoznavala možnosti, ki jih lahko prinese internet. S konkurenčnega vidika je bila pomembna že sama prisotnost na svetovnem spletu. S hitrim širjenjem in razvojem interneta ter odprtokodnih tehnologij pa je vse več spletnih portalov, katerih namen je predstaviti podjetje in preko elektronskega poslovanja sodelovati z uporabniki. Tako poslovanje zahteva zanesljive, varne in uporabniku prijazne rešitve. Portal SŽ Express potrebuje celovito prenovo. S trenutno uporabljenimi tehnologijami zgolj z vzdrževanjem portala ne moremo slediti zahtevam novih brskalnikov. Podjetje je razvilo nove storitve, ki jih je potrebno informacijsko podpreti. V diplomskem delu smo možnosti novih tehnologij preučili, izbrali rešitve in s sodobnejšim razvojnim orodjem izvedli prenovo obstoječega spletnega portala. Rezultat je delujoča prototipna rešitev. S testiranji smo dokazali, da izbrane odprtokodne rešitve ustrezajo ter omogočajo izdelavo sodobnih in varnih spletnih portalov.

Secondary abstract: At first companies knew were little about the possibilities that the Internet could bring them. From the competitiveness point of view, the presence alone on the World Wide Web was important. With the rapid expansion and development of the Internet as well as open source technologies the number of web portals that are used to introduce the company and to cooperate with users has grown significantly. And that kind of e-commerce demands reliable, safe and user-friendly solutions. The Portal SŽ Express is in need of a complete redesign. With the currently used technologies, the maintenance of the portal alone can’t fulfil the demands of new users. The company has developed new services, which need to be informationally supported. In our thesis we have studied new technologies, found solutions and renovated the existing web portal with the use of modern development tools. The result is a working, prototypic solution. The testing has helped us prove that the chosen open source technologies meet the given standards and offer the production of modern and safe web portals.
