Abstract

V magistrskem delu analiziramo primernost in uporabnost zapestnice Myo za merjenje površinskih elektromiogramov (EMG) in analizo gibov zgornjih okončin. Najprej preučimo karakteristike inercijskih meritev zgornjih okončin in signalov EMG in pokažemo, da zapestnica Myo krši Nyquistov teorem. Primernost zajetih signalov EMG za klasifikacijo ekstenzije, fleksije, supinacije, pronacije ter ulnarne in radialne deviacije zapestja preverimo na osmih zdravih preiskovancih. Vse omenjene gibe so preiskovanci izvedli pri dveh različnih stopnjah mišičnih skrčitev in pri dveh različnih namestitvah zapestnice, in sicer v najbolj distalni poziciji, ki jo je zapestnica Myo še dopuščala in v optimalni poziciji glede na anatomijo preiskovančeve podlahti. Rezultati analize so pokazali, da je najbolj razpoznavna ulnarna deviacija zapestja, sledi ji ekstenzija zapestja, na tretjem mestu pa je fleksija zapestja, ki je pri slabih pogojih že precej nenatančno razpoznana. Ostali gibi imajo manj kot 50 % natančnost razpoznave.

Secondary abstract: In this master's thesis, we analyze suitability of Myo Gesture Control Armband to measure surface electromyographic (EMG) signals and to discriminate different wrist movements. Firstly, we analyze characteristics of sampled inertial and EMG signals and show that Myo armband violates Nyquist theorem. Suitability of acquired EMG samples for classification of wrist extensions, flexions, supinations, pronations and radial and ulnar deviations is then checked on eight healthy persons. All aforementioned wrist movements have been performed at two different contraction levels and at two different positions of the Myo armband, namely at its most distal position and at its optimal position. Results of our analysis show that ulnar deviation is most easily discriminated from other movements. The second and third most discriminative movements are wrist flexion and wrist extension. Other tested movements have been accurately discriminated in less than 50 % of our tests.
