Abstract
Brezkonfliktnih družb ni - konflikti, nesoglasja in spori so sestavni del življenja, tudi sestavni del vsake vzgoje in vsakega izobraževanja. Sposobnost razreševanja konfliktov je tako danes ena izmed temeljnih veščin, ki jih človek potrebuje za kakovostno življenje v skupnosti. Mediacija na tej točki predstavlja priložnost za rešitev - gre za nov način soočanja in reševanja konfliktov. Posameznike navaja na odprto komunikacijo, vzpostavljanja dialogov, uči jih sklepanja kompromisov. Na vzgojno-izobraževalnem področju, kjer govorimo o t. i. šolski mediaciji, pa mediacija predstavlja priložnost za spremembo šolske klime in kulture; zmanjšuje nasilje, spodbuja otroke, da prisluhnejo drug drugemu, da razvijajo kritično mišljenje, uči jih soočanja z razlikami in drugačnostjo ter jih motivira za občutek pravičnosti. Prispeva k njihovi osebni rasti, povečuje občutek prijateljstva, pripadnosti, obvladovanja šolske situacije. Ključ uspešne šolske mediacije se skriva v dobrem, strokovno usposobljenem mediatorju, ki s pomočjo različnih komunikacijskih tehnik ter veščin pomaga udeležencem v sporu opredeliti problem, vzpostaviti pogajanje in rešiti konflikt na sporazumen način. Veliko vlogo pri tem odigra topel človeški odnos in sposobnost empatije. Kot nepogrešljiva se tudi na tem področju dela pokaže šolska svetovalna služba; z novim načinom reševanja problemov prispeva h kakovostnejši šoli. Njeno področje je široko, njen pomen je velik. V diplomskem delu Vloga in pomen šolske svetovalne službe v osnovni šoli na področju mediacije je obravnavana uporaba mediacije pri šolskih svetovalnih delavcih v osnovnih šolah v Pomurju. Rečemo lahko, da je v osnovnih šolah v Pomurju pri šolskih svetovalnih delavcih mediacija kot nov model obvladovanja konfliktov že zelo razširjena; poznajo jo vsi, uporablja oziroma izvaja pa jo polovica vseh šol v Pomurju. Uporabljajo jo včasih - nekajkrat na mesec, največkrat z učenci, pobudo za sestanek pa dajo največkrat sami. Kljub malemu številu izobraženih šolskih svetovalnih delavcev s področja mediacije, tudi želja po izobraževanju v prihodnje ni velika. Kar pa je popolnoma nerazumljivo, glede na to, da šolski svetovalni delavci sami priznavajo, da nimajo dovolj znanja za reševanje problemov. Zelo dobro pa prav vsi šolski svetovalni delavci poznajo temeljne značilnosti mediacije, veščine dobrega mediatorja ter njegove naloge. Priznavajo, da gre za dobro, uspešno, učinkovito metodo reševanja konfliktov, ki je na šolah še vse premalo razširjena.

There are no societies without conflicts - conflicts and disagreements are a part of life, and also a part of every education. Nowadays, the ability to solve conflicts is one of the fundamental skills that a person needs for a quality life in the community. At this point, mediation represents an opportunity for a solution - a new way of confrontation and resolving conflicts. It accustoms individuals to an open communication, it teaches them to compromise, it teaches them how to establish a dialogue, it promotes their positive self-esteem. On the educational area we talk about school mediation. Here mediation is an opportunity to change the school climate and culture; it reduces violence, it encourages children to listen to each other, it develops critical thinking, it teaches them to cope with differences and otherness on a peaceful way and it motivates them to get a sense of fairness. It contributes to their personal growth, it operates preventively, it increases the feeling of friendship and belonging, it controls the school situation. The key of successful school mediation lies in a good, professionally trained mediator, who through a variety of communication techniques and skills helps participants in the conflict to define the problem, to set up a negotiation and to resolve conflict in a consensual way. Big roles in this play a warm human relations and the ability to empathize. The school counsellors are also very important; with a new way of solving problems, they contribute to a higher quality school. Its scope is broad, its significance is great. This diploma thesis deals with the application of mediation in elementary schools in Pomurje with school counsellors. We can say that in the elementary schools in Pomurje at school counsellors, mediation as a new model of conflict management is already widespread; it is well known and used or operated by a half of all schools in Pomurje. Counsellors, regardless of whether they come from the city or from the village and regardless of their experience, use mediation as one of the ways of solving problems, not as often as we expected, but still. It is sometimes used - several times a month, most with the students, the initiative for the meeting is given by themselves. Despite the small number of qualified school counsellors in the field of mediation, the desire for education is not high. School counsellors partially admit that they have no confidence in their knowledge. They know the basic characteristics of the mediation, the skills of a good mediator and his functions.They acknowledge that this is a good, efficient, effective method of conflict resolution, but it is far too little widespread at schools. |
