Abstract

Secondary title: Design of automation system for assembly of relays
Secondary abstract: Nowadays, companies that wish to compete in the global market are forced to continuously reduce production costs and invest in the production system, as well as they should strive for greater efficiency. It is also necessary to continuously develop new products and launch them with the maximum number of variants in to the market. In this continuous process are successful only the best companies. Meeting all the requirements of the global market cannot be avoided, even in the production of miniature electromechanical relays. Assembly provides an imperative component in the production of relays because it represents the largest proportion of the total time required for making the relay. Therefore, this thesis focuses on reducing the time of making the relay and thereby lowering production costs. This can be achieved in several ways – one of them is used by this thesis, for instance with automation of manipulation and assembly. We was necessary to clearly impose certain limits and requirements at the very beginning of the design for the automated system for the assembly. Particular attention we should be paid to secondary functions, whitch can significantly contribute to the reduction or extension of the production processes. A major role to reducing the production time in relay assembly have relay adjustment. By providing the required quality components and sub-assemblies, we should the adjustment process significantly reduced. On the basis of the empirically results we plan to it will be nessesery to adjustment just only 35 % of relays in the production. Incorporation of automation and robotics into assembly system we can significantly increase the productivity of assembly and improve relays’ quality. Due to the greater stability of the whole assembly process without human impact, this can also affect the reduction of defects.
