Abstract

Diplomsko delo z naslovom Vloga starih staršev v življenju predšolskega otroka je empirično delo. Namen diplomskega dela je podrobneje ugotoviti, kakšni so odnosi med predšolskim otrokom in starimi starši danes ter kakšen vpliv imajo stari starši pri vzgoji predšolskega otroka. V teoretičnem delu smo podrobneje predstavili pojme, kot so predšolski otrok, stari starši, vzgoja, družina, starši, odnosi. Pri podrobnejši predstavitvi smo se osredotočili predvsem na odnose, ki jih imajo predšolski otroci s starimi starši v današnjem času. V empiričnem delu smo s pomočjo anket za stare starše in z intervjuji za predšolske otroke ugotavljali odnose med vnuki in starimi starši. Predvsem nas je zanimalo, kako ocenjujejo stari starši svoj odnos do vnukov in obratno, kako vnuki ocenjujejo svoje odnose s starimi starši. Na podlagi izsledkov anketnih vprašalnikov in intervjujev je mogoče tudi razbrati, kakšno vlogo imajo stari starši pri vzgoji svojih vnukov in kakšni so odnosi v družini nasploh ter kako to vpliva na odnose med vsemi člani. Rezultate anketiranja in intervjuvanja smo analizirali, predstavili v obliki preglednic in jih interpretirali ter preverili zastavljene hipoteze. Uporabili smo deskriptivno in kavzalno-neeksperimentalno metodo pedagoškega raziskovanja.

Secondary abstract: The graduation thesis titled The Role of Grandparents in the Life of a Preschool Child is a empirical work. The aim of the graduation thesis is to further establish what relationships exist between the child and grandparents today and what influence grandparents have on the upbringing of preschool children. The theoretical part covers a detailed presentation of concepts such as preschool children, grandparents, upbringing, family, parents, relationships. The detailed presentation focuses mainly on relationships which preschool children with grandparents have today. The empirical part uses a survey for grandparents and interviews for preschool children to determine the relationships between grandchildren and grandparents. We were mostly interested in how grandparents rated their relationships with grandchildren and, vice versa, how grandchildren rated their relationships with their grandparents. Based on the results the surveys and interviews also give insight into what role the grandparents have in the upbringing of their grandchildren and what are the relationships in the family in general as well as how this influences the relationships between all members. The results of the surveys and interviews were analysed and presented in the form of spreadsheets; they were interpreted and used to test the hypotheses. The descriptive and causal-nonexperimental method of pedagogical research was used.
