Abstract

S pričujočim delom želimo predstaviti, kako vsi ti procesi ocenjevanja in presoje dobaviteljev v skladu z dobro proizvodno prakso potekajo v praksi, kakšni so korektivni ukrepi in kakšne so možnosti za izboljšanje.

Secondary abstract: Today's global market is becoming increasingly competitive. Companies are under constant pressure, which is forcing them to reduce their costs in order to survive and retain their competitive position. The most important means to achieving this goal is the selection of a quality supplier. Production enterprises are becoming more and more aware of the importance of ensuring quality pursuant to the required standards respective of their intended use. Establishing an articulate quality management system in accordance with international quality standards, such as ISO 9001 and others, is an important precondition before entering the competitive market. The enterprises are also aware that forging a partnership with their suppliers is a key element of a successful company’s business politics and that it is crucial to select a good supplier in order to succeed. To find a quality supplier, companies must perform a systematic and thorough survey of potential suppliers. Evaluating deliveries ensures constant quality control of the purchased goods and services for the requirements of the production. The collected data helps the companies in deciding on the selection of the supplier and implementation of corrective measures. Decisions regarding the suppliers are very important for the future of a company, as well as its overall success. This thesis will present how the evaluation and supplier selection, in accordance with good manufacturing practices, processes function in real life, which are the corrective measures and how to make certain improvements. The results of the research have shown that the suppliers consider the improvements in an organisation’s capabilities regarding ensuring quality and safety as the biggest asset an organisation can gain by conducting good manufacturing practices. They also find that an improved credibility and the reputation of a company play an important role. The research has proven that the results point to a possibility for improvement, provided that companies implement preventative and corrective measures especially regarding upgrading and improving the technology and employee training in accordance with good manufacturing practices.
