Abstract
V zimski šoli v naravi in na zimskem športnem dnevu smučanje poučujejo večinoma učitelji športne vzgoje, razredni učitelji in zunanji delavci.

Teaching how to ski in primary school |
Secondary abstract: |
The aim of our study was to determine how many primary school teachers are qualified for the skiing instruction of pupils in the first and second triad of primary school, how many of these qualified teachers actually teach skiing at winter school trips and how many teachers without the necessary qualifications would wish to obtain such qualifications. We also tried to determine how many primary school teachers feel competent to teach skiing and who teaches skiing at winter school trips and field days.
The study involved male and female primary school teachers working at elementary schools from all parts of Slovenia. Our anonymous online survey was completed by 217 primary school teachers, of which 211 were female and 6 were male. The data was processed using online statistical software 1ka.
The results showed that the percentage of primary school teachers qualified for skiing instruction is quite satisfactory (26%). It is encouraging that over half of these qualified teachers (67%) also teach skiing at winter school trips. On the other hand, only a quarter of primary school teachers not yet qualified for skiing instruction wants to complete a programme that would give them the necessary qualifications to do so, which is rather discouraging. At winter school trips and field days, skiing is mostly taught by sports teachers, primary school teachers and external qualified employees. About a third of primary school teachers (31%) feels competent to teach pupils to ski. |
