Abstract

V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili dejavnike otrokovega razvoja in gibalni razvoj otroka - faze, mejnike in gibalne sposobnosti otrok. V okviru gibanja smo predstavili pomen gibalnih dejavnosti na celostni razvoj otroka in na zdravje otroka. V diplomski nalogi smo predstavili tudi medije, predvsem televizijo in računalnik, njune pozitivne in negativne strani. Posebno pozornost smo posvetili vplivu medijev oziroma televizije in računalnika na gibalne in športne dejavnosti otrok. V empiričnem delu diplomske naloge smo z anketnim vprašalnikom ugotavljali, v kolikšni meri in kako televizija in računalnik vplivata na gibanje 4-6 let starih otrok. Uporabili smo deskriptivno in kavzalno-neeksperimentalno metodo pedagoškega raziskovanja. Raziskovalni vzorec smo vzeli iz konkretne populacije: namenski neslučajnostni vzorec staršev predšolskih otrok, starih 4-6 let. Podatke diplomske naloge smo zbrali s pomočjo kvantitativne tehnike.

Secondary title: THE INFLUENCE OF TELEVISION AND COMUPTER ON CHILDREN'S PHYSICAL AND SPORT ACTIVITIES
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis entitled Influence of television and computer on physical/sports activities of children is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, we have presented factors of the child's development and physical development of the child - its phases, turning points, and physical abilities of children. We have presented the meaning of physical activities on the holistic development of the child and his/her health. We have also presented media, especially television and computer, their positive and negative sides. We have focused on the influence of media, television and computer, on physical and sports activities of children. In the empirical part, we have been researching with a questionnaire how television and computer influence physical activities of four- to six-year-old children. We have used descriptive and causal-non-experimental method of pedagogical research. We have taken the researched sample from definite population: purposive non-accidental sample of pre-school children's (aged 4 to 6) parents. We have gathered the data with quantitative technique. We have used a questionnaire. There have been 90 parents included in the research. The data, we have gathered with the questionnaire, have been quantitatively analysed with descriptive statistics and frequency distribution. We have been interested in how much and how television and computer influence physical activities of 4- to 6-year-old children. Our findings are: television is more used with pre-school children in comparison to other media, more parents control their children with watching television than playing games on computer, more parents punish their children to forbid them watching television than playing games on computer, pre-school children who are active in their free time with physical or sports activities are not that active playing games on computer than children who are not active in their free time with physical or sports activities, the opinion of the parents is that playing games on computer has more negative impact on children's physical or sports activities than watching television, children that are included in organized physical or sports activities play games on computer less than children who are not included in any physical or sports activities and children who are included in organized physical or sports activities watch television less than children who are not included in physical or sports activities.
