magistrsko delo
Abstract
Start up podjetja, rast in razvoj, podporno okolje za podjetništvo, državne spodbude in vsebinska podpora s strani subjektov inovativnega okolja, mentorjev in drugih podpornih institucij podjetniškega ekosistema mladim inovativnim podjetjem s potencialom hitre rasti in globalnega razvoja predstavljajo prepletanje vsebine magistrskega dela, ki je pred vami. Pogostejša celovita podpora organiziranega mentorsko/izobraževalnega programa je pozitivno povezana z vsemi tremi kazalniki uspešnosti poslovanja, in sicer s povečanjem vrednosti prihodkov, števila zaposlenih in dodane vrednosti start up podjetja. V zadnjem delu raziskave smo pridobili splošno oceno slovenskega start up ekosistema z vidika 100 anketiranih start up podjetnikov in se seznanili z najpogostejšimi ovirami, s kate

ǂThe ǂsignificance of public incentives and supportive entrepreneurial environment for the growth and development of young innovative enterprises in Slovenia |
Secondary abstract: |
Start up companies, growth and development, a supportive environment for entrepreneurship, public incentives and substantive support, provided by the innovative environment, mentors and other supporting institutions of entrepreneurial ecosystem, to young innovative enterprises with high growth potential and global development represent the set of content of the master thesis in front of you. In additon to theoretical starting points in the field of start up entrepreneurship, there has been made a comprehensive review of financial incentives by the government policy to fund the development of young innovative SME's in its initial, most vulnerable stages of development. Empirical research study is divided into two parts. The first part provides a comprehensive analysis of the structure of the Slovenian start up ecosystem, while in the second part a study is conducted among more than 700 slovenian start up companies, which have, in the period of initial development and growth, involved in the supportive business environment. We determined the impact of the acquisition of the public incentive to performance of start up companies ove three years since its establishment, by comparing the performance indicators of companies that have acquired a financial incentive, in comparison with companies that have not receive a financial incentive. We have found that there are statistically significant differences between the average values of all monitored indicators of both groups of companies. Companies, that have acquired a subsidy for financing start up, have after three years increased more the net sales revenue, the number of employees and the value added of the company. We have shown that the performance of the start up company varies depending on whether the copany has received a public incentive for the financing of a start up or not. We also investigated whether there is a correlation between the presence of a start up company in the entities of innovative environment, such as university incubators, business incubators and technology parks, and the performance of the company. The survey results confirm that a more frequent use of basic advisory services by representatives of the entities of innovative environment is positively correlated with a greater increase in the value added of the company, but is not statistically significantly correlated with the other two indicators of performance of a start up company. More frequent use of online information about the services, programs and events within the entities of innovative environment is positively correlated with a grater increase in the value added of the company, but is not statistically significantly correlated with teh other two indicators otf performance of a start up company. Regarding the participation at the various events and workshops, organized for the young companies by the entities of innovative environment, we found a positive correlation between the frequency of entrepreneur's participation at seminars, round table discussions, corporate workshops and similar events and increasing the value added of a start up company and also increasing the value of revenue, but there is not a statistically significant correlation with the indicator the number of employees. Even more frequent participation at events, dedicated to connecting or networking with the representatives of start up ecosystem is positively correlated with an increase in the value added of a start up company, but is not statistically significantly correlated with the other two indicators of performance of a start up company. We have also managed to show that the more frequent personal counseling by chosen start up mentor at individual meetings is positively correlated with increasing value added of a start up company, but it is not statistically significantly correlated with the other two indicators of performance of a start up company. More frequent full support by organized mentoring/training program is pos |
