Abstract

Secondary title: COGENERTION OF HEAT AND ELECTRICITY FROM WOODEN BIOMASS
Secondary abstract: Combined heat and power appliances (CHP) represent a modern alternative to older boilers with low efficiency. The focus of the thesis is the presented technological analysis of micro cogeneration installation on Stirling engine, and economic and ecological comparison with the existing heating device using home heating oil (HHO) and CHP appliance using diesel engine. The calculated data show that investment in CHP appliance in case of our calculation is currently not profitable, which is a consequence of high investment costs, low HHO price, and short period of duration of a support for electricity purchase. In case HHO's price would raise to the value from three years ago, the investment into CHP appliance using wooden biomass, would repay after 11 years of operation. The obtained data show that installation of CHP appliance using wooden biomass is the most reasonable from the perspective of pollution with CO2.
