Secondary title: | Reconstruction method of masonry buildings with inner core made of cross laminated timber panels |
Secondary abstract: | In my master's thesis technology of performing a new reconstruction method of an old masonry building with inferior seismic resistance is presented. In the interior of the masonry building new secondary timber construction made of cross laminated solid timber panels (as the inner core of the building) is embedded and adequately connected to the old primary masonry construction. In such a way the primary masonry construction with inferior seismic resistance is retrofitted with the new timber construction which assumes the entire seismic load. In the thesis technology of performing construction and corrective measures on the model of a typical masonry building with inferior seismic resistance is presented. Details of the performance are described and also measures which are analyzed with calculation. The feasibility of strenghtening the masonry building with a suitable conjunction to the new timber inner core and contribution of the performed procedure in the light of construction and physical aspect were substantiated with calculations. In the end of the thesis there is a cost estimate of the presented reconstruction method and a comparison with the estimated costs of other traditional methods of strenghtening. |
