(diplomsko delo)
Abstract

Secondary abstract: |
Theoretical background: Blood donation is of great importance to humans, so if we are in a good health it is right to help. The purpose of the study is to present the importance of blood donation and to determine the willingness of people to donate blood.
Research methods: In compiling of the study it was used the descriptive method in the theoretical part, while in the empirical part of the study it was used a quantitative methodology of work. As a technique of data collection we used a web questionnaire, which consisted of 26 questions, of which seven questions were semi-open type, while the others were closed type.
Results: Results of the online survey showed us that the vast majority of people ever thought of donating blood. For 93 respondents means the concept of blood donation to donate blood voluntarily and thereby help to fellow human beings, which shows us humanity and helping other people. 43% of blood donors responded that blood donated more than 5 years ago, 39% a year ago, 15% recently, and only 3% had blood donated more than 10 years ago, which, given that the majority of respondents aged between 18 and 30 years, is an expected result.
Conclusion: Anyone who wants to become a blood donor, must be aware that he needs to be healthy and feeling good, because only in this way he can be an adequate blood donor.
Blood can not to be compared in any way, as it is unique. A liquid which is not replaceable, so it is even more important its quality. That Slovenes are human nation, we show with a large participation in the blood donor campaigns, which helps to independently take care of a sufficient quantity of blood and blood products for the needs of the Slovenian population. |
