Abstract

V diplomski nalogi z naslovom Poljedelsko izrazje v trojiškem govoru so najprej predstavljene geografske, zgodovinske in kulturne značilnosti Svete Trojice v Slovenskih goricah. Dodana sta pomenska razlaga in izvor besed. V diplomski nalogi smo ga uspeli zbrati, preden popolnoma utone v pozabo.

Secondary title: Agricultural terms in the dialect of Sveta Trojica
Secondary abstract: In the diploma thesis titled Agricultural terms in the dialect of Sveta Trojica, first geographical, historical and cultural characteristics of Sveta Trojica in Slovenske gorice are outlined. In the following chapters phonological, morphological and syntactical characteristics of the Sveta Trojica dialect are discussed. The dialect spoken in Sveta Trojica is classified in the eastern Slovenian Hills dialect, which is part of the Pannonian dialect group. This subdialect preserved the quantitative distinction between long monophthongs or diphthongs inherited from long and short vowels, which are inherited from old and newly acute vocals in the non-final and final or the only syllables. The Slovenian Hills dialect is not characterized by pitch accent. Both general stress shifts were derived. The main part of the thesis is the alphabeth glossary of lexemes from the semantic field 'orchard, garden and field'. The glossary was written on the basis of the recorded speech of two native speakers from Sveta Trojica in the Slovenian Hills. The collected materials, which are written in phonetic transcription, have been studied in detail also with the literature review. It includes old words, including those disappearing from the vocabulary due to the fact that some tools and machines used for work in the farm are not in use anymore. Some words have been preserved because they are used in everyday speech. The alphabeth glossary consists of 321 entries, the majority are nouns. Standard or substandard version of a word is followed by the dialectal version of the word written in phonetic transcription with the suitable grammatical categories. This is followed by the meaning and origin of the word. The majority of the words in the glossary are of Slavic origin, since the majority of the words are non loanwords, and among loanwords there are mostly the words from German language. The reason for the great number of Germanisms is probably the proximity of German speaking population (Austria), however, also historical reasons are important. The vocabulary was gathered with the application of questionnaire prepared by Francka Benedik. We recorded the speech of two native speakers, i. e. Marija Klobasa and Olga Močnik, who both come from Sveta Trojica in the Slovenian Hills. The village of Sveta Trojica has become more urban, which has caused also the disappearing of dialect vocabulary. In the thesis we managed to collect it before it sinks into oblivion.
