Abstract

Secondary title: Development of fixture device for machining the disc of cutting rotor
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis in front of you comprises the development of a dedicated pneumatic fixture device for machining products of the cutting rotor called end discs and intermediate discs, which are processed on the horizontal boring mill – “bohrwerk”. As the machine’s sole intention is processing individual pieces of larger dimensions the fixture elements are subordinate to universality and not to fast settings. Because these discs are manufactured in a small-scale production, problems occur due to lengthy preparation and finishing times as well as excessive time of loading products onto the machine and unloading them from the machine. In addition it is not possible to achieve a precise enough positioning of the products and operating is not secure enough due to maneuvering with large masses. Therefore we have decided to develop and manufacture a fully dedicated pneumatic fixture device with which we could eliminate or at least reduce these problems.
