Abstract
V diplomski nalogi sem obravnavala tematiko samopodobe in učnega uspeha. Samopodoba je pomemben pokazatelj otrokovega duševnega zdravja in hkrati njegovega razvoja in funkcioniranja kasneje v življenju. Sodobna spoznanja kažejo, da je prav obdobje otroštva najpomembnejše za oblikovanje posameznikove samopodobe in njenih posameznih sestavin. Cilj diplomske naloge je bil ugotoviti stopnjo splošne samopodobe pri učencih. Želela sem ugotoviti, ali obstajajo razlike pri stopnji samopodobe glede na spol in glede na prevladujočo oceno v spričevalu. Skušala se najti povezavo med splošno samopodobo učencev in njihovo učno uspešnostjo, izraženo s prevladujočo oceno v spričevalu. V prvem delu sem predstavila teoretične vidike samopodobe, strukture in oblikovanje samopodobe, velik del sem namenila obravnavi šestih temeljnih prvin samopodobe ter vlogi vzgojno izobraževalnih institucij pri oblikovanju le-te. V drugem delu pa sem analizirala rezultate anketnega vprašalnika in ugotovila, da je stopnja samopodobe učencev na zelo visokem nivoju in da povezave med spoloma ter prevladujočo oceno v spričevalu pri oblikovanju slednje ne obstajajo oz. so statistično nepomembne.

In this diploma thesis I discussed the topic of self-esteem and academic achievement. Self-esteem in an important indicator of child's mental health and at the same time its development and functioning later in life. Modern findings suggest that the most important period for creation of someone's self-esteem and its individual components is childhood. The objectives of this diploma thesis were to determine the level of general self-esteem in students. I wanted to determine if there are any differences in level of self-esteem according to the gender and according to the prevailing grade in certificate. I tried to find the connection between general self-esteem of students and their academic achievement, expressed with the prevailing grade in certificate. In the first part I presented theoretical aspects of self-esteem, the structure and design of self-esteem, I spent a large part on discussing six basic elements of self-esteem and on the role of educational institutions in its creating. In second part I analyzed the results of the questionnaire and I realized that the rate of self-esteem in students is at the very high level and that the connection between the gender and the prevailing grade in certificate in creating self-esteem does not exist or it is statistically insignificant. |
