Secondary title: | POSSIBLE APPLICATIONS OF INDUSTRIAL HEMP FIBERS AS REINFORCEMENT IN CEMENTITIOUS MATERIALS |
Secondary abstract: | This thesis deals with the analysis of the mechanical and physical properties of industrial hemp fibers and the potential use of these fibers in the civil engineering construction industry as a substitute for syntetic fibers. The first section of the thesis adresses both general properties of composite materials and various types of fibers for reinforcing cementitious composites, followed by a more detailed analysis of industrial hemp fibers and a comparison of these with the most commonly used syntetic fibers. The second part of the thesis presents the experimental analysis of the bond between hemp fibers and cement matrix. We also included the tensile test of industrial hemp fibers, as an additional research under this chapter. In the experimental part we presented the course of investigations with a detailed description of materials and experimental methods, followed by an analysis of test results and disscusion. |
