Abstract

V diplomskem delu je predstavljena pedagogika montessori, s poudarkom na značilnostih pedagogov montessori in izobraževanjih montessori v Sloveniji. Predstavljen je razvoj pedagogike montessori in življenje Marie Montessori, povezano z vzgojo in izobraževanjem ter razvoj ustanov, ki delujejo po principu pedagogike montessori, po svetu in v Sloveniji. Opisana je vloga pedagoga montessori ter njegove obveznosti in dolžnosti v procesu vzgoje in izobraževanja po metodi pedagogike montessori. Predstavljene so razlike med tradicionalno vzgojo in izobraževanjem v javnih vrtcih ter vzgojo in izobraževanjem v pedagogiki montessori. Podrobno je opisan potek izobraževanj za montessori pedagoge, ki so bila do sedaj izvedena v Sloveniji, in obveznosti udeležencev pri teh izobraževanjih. Angelin vrtec v Ljubljani je prvi vrtec, ki je v Sloveniji začel delovati po programu montessori, zato je podrobneje opisan. V empiričnem delu so predstavljene informacije o značilnostih pedagogov montessori v Sloveniji, njihovem delu, začetkih pedagogike montessori v Sloveniji in izobraževanjih montessori v Sloveniji. Informacije so bile pridobljene s pomočjo metode kvalitativnega raziskovanja. Intervjuji so bili izvedeni s pedagogi montessori iz različnih vrtcev montessori v Sloveniji in z direktorico Montessori inštituta. Pri intervjujih s pedagogi je raziskava temeljila na ugotavljanju značilnosti intervjuvanih pedagogov montessori in njihovega načina dela, intervju z direktorico Montessori inštituta pa je temeljil na pridobivanju informacij o začetkih pedagogike montessori v Sloveniji, izobraževanjih montessori v Sloveniji in organizaciji le-teh. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da imajo intervjuvani pedagogi montessori zelo dobro predstavo o tem, kakšna je njihova vloga v procesu vzgoje in izobraževanja. Njihove značilnosti so skladne z značilnostmi, ki jih Maria Montessori izpostavlja v svojih delih, zato je očitno, da so izobraževanja montessori v Sloveniji kakovostna in se na njih bodoči pedagogi montessori celostno pripravljajo na delo z otroki.

Secondary title: Characteristics of Montessori educators in Slovenia
Secondary abstract: This diploma thesis presents the Montessori pedagogy with a focus on the characteristics of Montessori educators and Montessori education in Slovenia. It presents the development of the Montessori pedagogy and life of Maria Montessori, related to education and institutions which operate on the principle of Montessori pedagogy worldwide and in Slovenia. It describes the role of the Montessori educator, his/her duties and responsibilities in the process of education according to the Montessori method. The differences between traditional education in public kindergartens and education in Montessori pedagogy are presented. The training courses for Montessori educators which have been carried out till now in Slovenia and obligations of the participants of these trainings are described in detail. Angela’s kindergarten is the first kindergarten in Slovenia that became operational in the Montessori program, so it’s described in detail. The empirical part information obtained with the help of qualitative research on the characteristics of Montessori educators in Slovenia, their work and the beginnings of Montessori pedagogy in Slovenia and Montessori training courses in Slovenia are presented. Interviews with educators from different Montessori preschool in Slovenia and the director of the Montessori Institute were conducted. Interviews with educators were based on identifying characteristics of Montessori educators interviewed and their way of work however an interview with the director of the Montessori Institute was based on the information about the beginnings of Montessori pedagogy in Slovenia, the Montessori education in Slovenia and its organization. It was found that interviewed Montessori educators have a very good idea of what their role is in the process of education. Their characteristics are consistent with the characteristic that Maria Montessori emphasizes in her works and that is why it is obvious that the quality of Montessori education in Slovenia gives future educators of Montessori pedagogy full preparedness to work with children.
