diplomsko delo
Abstract

OVERVIEW OF DANCE LESSON PLANS FROM STUDENTS OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION WITH A FOCUS ON CREATIVITY |
Secondary abstract: |
This diploma thesis, An Overview of Dance Lessons Plans from Students of Early Childhood Education with a Focus on Creativity, consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part discusses the theory of dance education at the preschool level, focusing on art education, aesthetic education, creativity in dancing, children's games, and various types of dance activities. The empirical part analyzes a selection of dance lesson plans (with a focus on creativity), with the goal of determining whether those lesson plans are suitable for promoting creativity in children. The students did not have to carry out the lesson plans in a classroom; they simply had to write them down according to their Faculty's rules on how to write an integrated lesson plan. The lesson plans analyzed in this thesis were written by second-year full-time preschool-education students as part of their integrated teaching practice, which was a requirement for a course called "Didactics of Dance Education". The lesson plans were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and the results show that the students chose a range of topics that can be interpreted as promoting creative dancing in children. The results also indicate that the lesson plans were written in an adequate manner, meaning that the students followed their Facultys rules on how to properly write an integrated lesson plan. |
