Abstract

V diplomskem delu raziskujemo zdravje in počutje zaposlenih na delovnem mestu. V izbrani organizaciji skozi analizo bolniških odsotnosti ugotavljamo vzroke za odsotnosti in načine za zmanjšanje le-te. Na temeljih promocije zdravja na delovnem mestu gradimo in načrtujemo aktualne aktivnosti, ki bi bile zanimive za vse zaposlene. Teoretični del diplomskega dela zajema obširen pregled zakonodaje in teoretičnih izhodišč, ki podrobno urejajo področje promocije zdravja na delovnem mestu v mednarodnem in domačem okolju. Skozi pregled literature in drugih virov ugotavljamo pozitivne učinke promocije zdravja. Empirični del zajema raziskavo v izbrani organizaciji (delovnem okolju). Z anketnim vprašalnikom smo pridobili informacije o zdravju zaposlenih, o delu in delovnem okolju in nenazadnje o interesih zaposlenih za vključevanje v aktivnosti za krepitev zdravja na delovnem mestu. Z raziskavo smo dokazali, da je zdravje za zaposlene pomembna vrednota in ga v splošnem ocenjujejo kot »dobro«. Za zaposlene so zelo pomembni tudi dobri medsebojni odnosi na delovnem mestu. Aktivnosti za promocijo zdravja na delovnem mestu, ki so za zaposlene najbolj zanimive pa so: sprehodi in izobraževanja o zdravem življenjskem slogu. Z raziskavo smo, v nasprotju s pričakovanji, zavrnili hipotezo, da je »ocena zdravja« povezana z vrednotenjem določenih aspektov promocije zdravja na delovnem mestu (zdrava hrana, telesna aktivnost idr.) in hipotezo, da je »ocena zdravja« povezana s pripravljenostjo zaposlenih za vključevanje v športne aktivnosti. V zaključnem delu smo na podlagi rezultatov ankete podali predloge za aktivnosti za promocijo zdravja v izbrani organizaciji.

Secondary title: PROMOTING HEALTH IN THE WORKPLACE AS A KEY TO MORE SUCCESSFUL MANAGEMENT
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis is concerned with health and employees’ well-being at workplace. We performed an analysis of sick leaves in a chosen organisation and searched for causes employees absence and ways of diminishing them. Based on the notion of health promotion at workplace we planned concrete activities that might be interesting to all employees. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis consists of an extensive overview of the legislation and the theoretical platform addressing in detail health promotion at workplace in national and international context. Based on this we determined positive effects of health promotion. The empirical part includes a research in a chosen organisation (working environment). By utilizing a survey questionnaire we gained information on employees’ health, on work and working environment and finally, we researched the interests of employees for engaging in the activities for health promotion at workplace. By doing the research we proved that employees consider health as an important value. In general, the employees assessed their health as good. Employees also consider relations with co-workers as highly relevant. The health promotion at workplace activities which are most interesting to them are: walks and education on healthy living style. We have rejected the hypothesis that estimation of health is related to the estimate of certain aspects of health promotion at workplace such as healthy food, physical activity etc. This was opposite to our expectations. We have also rejected the hypothesis that estimation of health is related to willingness of employees to engage in sports activities. Based on the results of the research we provided some suggestions for health promotion activities in the chosen organisation.
