Abstract

V diplomskem delu je okvirno predstavljen kronološki razvoj mesta Ljubljane do konca 19. stoletja, zlasti njegova kulturnozgodovinska preteklost. Pri tem so nas zanimali pomembnejši zgodovinski dogodki in obdobja, ki so skozi dolga stoletja od prvotne naselitve vodili do pomembnega urbanega središča, predvsem pa do osrednjega slovenskega narodnostnega središča konec 18. in v 19. stoletju, od koder je bila tudi logična pot do glavnega mesta samostojne slovenske države. Diplomsko delo temelji na različnih metodah pisanja. Uporabljeni sta bili deskriptivna in zgodovinska metoda za opisovanje zgodovinskih dejstev, pri povzemanju ugotovitev pa analitična in sintetična metoda.

Secondary abstract: The diploma paper represents the chronological development of the city of Ljubljana till the end of the 19th century. The focus is on its cultural historical past. Special attention was payed to important historical events and periods, which made Ljubljana through long centuries after the first settlement to an important urban centre and to the central Slovenian national centre of the late 18th and 19th century. Those were the fundaments which also made Ljubljana the capital city of independent Slovenia. The diploma paper includes different methods of writing. Historical facts are described with the descriptive and historical method, while conclusions are summed up with the analytic and synthetic method.
