Abstract

Podatke smo obdelali z deskriptivno statistiko. Rezultati so pokazali, da konflikti negativno vplivajo na varno navezanost predšolskega otroka na starše in da le-ti zaznavajo, da njihovi partnerski odnosi vplivajo na to, kakšen bo odnos otroka do njih.

Secondary title: THE ROLE THAT PARENTAL CONFLICTS PLAY WHEN CHILDREN DEVELOP AN ATTACHMENT TO THEIR MOTHER OR FATHER
Secondary abstract: Fast pace of life, more and more obligations and less time for each other - these circumstances produce conflicts between partners (parents). A lot of times, parents argue in front of children. The purpose of this thesis was to find out the opinion of parents of preschool children on how the conflicts between parents affect the child's attachment to them and to what extent the parents notice the relationship between them influencing the relationship between a child and parents. As many as 148 parents of children between the ages 2 and 10 from three different nurseries participated in the research. The data were gathered with a survey that included general demographic questions and a grading scale from 1 - I absolutely do not agree - to 5 - I absolutely agree - with 26 statements. The statements described the child's reactions to parents' conflicts and were based on child's attachment patterns and various developmental theories. The data were analysed with descriptive statistics. The results show that conflicts have a negative effect on the safe attachment of preschool children to their parents and that parents are aware that their relationship influences the way children perceive them.
