diplomsko delo
Primož Lugarič (Author), Aleš Hace (Mentor)

Abstract

Secondary title: DESIGNING AND BUILDING OF A 3-AXIS CNC MILL WITH THE TB6560 STEPPER MOTOR CONTROL BOARD
Secondary abstract: The thesis describes the process of planning and building a CNC milling station. I described the used peripherals and the way in which they are used. For the control board I used the TB6560 control board which can control up to three stepper motors. I began by describing the mechanical and 3D design of the mill using the 3ds Max CAD software in which I designed the mill beforehand. I showed how the circuit board controls the motors using my own measurements and experiments. In this part I also showed how the board is connected to the Mach3 software and the required settings for the first trial run of the mill. I concluded this thesis with a finished product that I designed with Freemill and then imported into a CAD program, that generates the required G-code for the mill.
