Abstract

V diplomskem delu bomo raziskali vpliv, ki ga imajo mediji na bralne navade mladostnikov. V današnjem času, ko se mediji razvijajo hitreje, kot jim lahko sledimo, je to zelo aktualna tema, saj je vedno težje opredeliti, do katere meje mediji pozitivno vplivajo na mladostnike in kdaj je treba uporabo medijev omejiti. Diplomsko delo smo razdelili na teoretični in empirični del. V teoretičnem delu smo se najprej posvetili definiciji branja, nato smo opredelili dejavnike branja in zajeli tematike, povezane z branjem v času osnovnošolskega izobraževanja, ter opisali in našteli načine spodbujanja branja. V drugem delu teoretičnega dela pa smo podrobneje opredelili in razčlenili še medije. Posvetili smo se definiciji medijev in našteli ter opisali pogoste množične medije. Velik poudarek smo namenili spletu in družbenim omrežjem, saj ti predstavljajo velik delež časa, ki ga mladostniki namenijo medijem. S pomočjo statističnih podatkov in predhodno objavljenih raziskav smo skušali prikazati vplive in razsežnosti uporabe spletnih medijev, kot so facebook, instagram in drugi, pri mladostnikih. Pregledali smo tudi zgodovinski razvoj medijev in teoretični del zaključili z opisom uporabe medijev v procesu izobraževanja. V drugem, empiričnem delu pa smo najprej predstavili raziskovalna vprašanja, podali hipoteze, predstavili metodologijo dela, nato pa s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, namenjenega predmetni stopnji osnovnošolcev osnovne šole x, pridobili informacije ter razčlenili in grafično prikazali rezultate ankete. Izpostavili smo tudi nekaj zanimivih povezav, kot na primer povezavo med pogostostjo uporabe medijev in bralnimi navadami ter primerjavo učnega uspeha s številom prebranih knjig letno. Namen diplomskega dela je podrobneje predstaviti in spoznati bralne navade šoloobveznih otrok ter ugotoviti, kakšen je vpliv medijev nanje. Predpostavljamo, da so zaradi časa, ki ga osnovnošolci namenijo medijem, okrnjene njihove bralne navade. Prav tako smo predstavili pozitivne in negativne strani medijev v procesu izobraževanja mladostnikov.

Secondary title: ǂThe ǂinfluence of media on reading habits of primary school students
Secondary abstract: In the diploma thesis, the media impact on the adolescents' reading habits is being researched. Nowadays, when media is developing faster than we can follow, this is a very important topic since it is more and more difficult to define when media has a positive impact on the adolescents and when to limit its usage. The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, reading is defined, then reading factors are identified, and topics related to reading during elementary school are covered, last but not least ways to promote reading are described and listed. In the second half of the theoretical part, media is defined and analysed. The focus is on media definition, but common mass media are listed and described too. The emphasis is on the world wide web and social media since they represent a huge part of time that adolescents dedicate to media. With the help of statistical data and previously published research, the effects and the dimensions of the online media usage such as Facebook, Instagram etc. by the adolescents is shown. The historical development of media was reviewed too. The theoretical part concludes with the description of media usage in the process of education. In the empirical part, research questions, hypotheses and methods of work are presented; in addition, information from a questionnaire for upper elementary school x are obtained, and the results are analysed and graphically displayed. Some interesting links such as the one between the frequency of media usage and reading habits are exposed, and the learning success is compared to the number of books read per year. The aim of the diploma thesis is to explain and learn about school children reading habits and to determine the impact of media. We assume that school children reading habits are infringed by the time devoted to media. The positive and negative sides of media in the education process are also introduced.
