diplomsko delo
Abstract

Milestones in the child's motor development |
Secondary abstract: |
Thesis work entitled Milestones in child's motor development consists of theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part are presented physical development, motor development, the stages and levels of motor development, motor patterns and motor stereotypes, cognitive development, emotional-social development and the objectives in the field of movement, with the emphasis on running, throwing and ball control, riding a balance bike and walking on a level surface. In the empirical part we have presented the results that we obtained with the descriptive method and casual non-experimental method of research on the non-random simple sample from a specific population of one hundred and two educators from public and private kindergartens in Maribor, Slovenska Bistrica and Celje. For the measuring instrument we used a survey with questions of the closed type. In the thesis we used the quantitative processing of the data called descriptive statistics. We determined the milestones of motor development of preschool children according to place of residence and the amount of planned and guided movement activities in kindergarten (running, throwing and ball control, riding a balance bike and walking on a flat surface). We found that the planned and guided movement activities in the kindergarten affect some milestones in the motor development. In a few milestones that impact was not recorded. On the contrary, the children who do not have planned and guided activities, reach some of the milestones earlier. In walking around a level surface we observed a small difference in the achievement of a milestone in children from the city, compared with children from rural areas - the latter reach the milestone a little earlier. |
