Abstract

Drip irrigation design for hopyard as a part of a large irrigation system |
Secondary abstract: |
The hop industry was striving for stable long-time production in the eighties of the 20th century and began to emerge desire for irrigation hopfields and the construction of large irrigation systems in the Lower Savinja Valley. The former embodiment has been designed on the base of drum rolomats, which are known as large water users. Newer technology is drip irrigation, which ensures the rational use of water and its use is gaining over the years. Drip irrigation system for irrigation of hopfield, which is connected to an existing large irrigation system was designed in the study based on the technical and technological information. We conducted analyses of hydraulic parameters of irrigation equipment with HydroCalc software and irrigation schedules using CROPWAT 8.0 software.
We have found that irrigating within a large irrigation system allows the user only to irrigate in the specific time interval; since only in this case large irrigation system could provide sufficient flow and pressure of water at water hydrant. Therefore we can conclude that hydraulic analyses are necessary to enable effective operation of the system. |
