Ideologija sodobne potrošnje skozi prizmo šolskega sistema

Abstract

Magistrsko delo z naslovom Ideologija sodobne potrošnje skozi prizmo šolskega sistema obravnava različne aspekte in mehanizme postmoderne potrošniške družbe, ki so bili nujno potrebni, da se je potrošniški kapitalizem lahko razvil v vodilno ideologijo sodobnih zahodnih družb. Izpostavili bomo šolo kot ključni dejavnik te ideologije, ki z zagovarjanjem in s favoriziranjem permisivnih vzgojnih praks ter konceptom "otroku prijazne šole" pomaga oblikovati potrošniško kulturo in narcistične posameznike. Namen magistrskega dela je pokazati, da šola deluje po zahtevah prevladujoče ideologije potrošniškega kapitalizma. Šola v ta namen z različnimi mehanizmi pomaga pri reprodukciji družbeno nujne forme osebnosti, značilne za današnji čas - narcistične osebnosti. S pomočjo permisivne socializacije se oblikujejo t. i. patološki narcisi, ki nimajo klasično razrešenega Ojdipovega kompleksa, kar posameznikom onemogoča samostojno in neodvisno delovanje. To je tisti tip posameznika, ki ga sodobna potrošniška družba potrebuje, kajti živi od socialnega priznavanja drugih ljudi. Potrošniški kapitalizem potrebuje zlomljenega, nedozorelega in vedno nezadovoljnega posameznika, ki je, da bi dosegel vsaj kanček "popolnosti" ali da bi vsaj za hip pobegnil iz realnosti, ki je polna groženj in negotovosti, pripravljen trošiti in se predajati užitkom ter sanjarjenju.

Secondary abstract:	The master's thesis deals with various aspects and mechanisms of the postmodern consumer society, which were essential for the development of a leading ideology of contemporary western societies: the consumer capitalism. We pointed out the school as a key factor of the ideology that helps shape consumer culture and narcissistic individuals by defending and favoring permissive educational practices and the concept of child-friendly school. The purpose of the study is to show that the school works according to the requirements of the prevailing ideology of consumer capitalism. For this purpose, with a variety of mechanisms, school assists in reproduction of a socially critical form of personality characteristic for the present time - narcissistic personality. The permissive upbringing creates pathological narcissists that lack the dissolution of the Oedipus complex, which prevents them from individual, independent functioning. This type of individual is necessary for the modern consumer society since he lives from social recognition of others. The consumer capitalism needs a broken, immature and perpetually disappointed individual who is willing to spend, daydream, and devote to pleasures in order to achieve a bit of "perfectionism" or to escape from the ever cruel reality full of threats and uncertainties.
