Abstract

V specialističnem delu je predstavljen razvoj nosilca motorja iz termoplasta za avtomobilsko industrijo. Gre za nosilni element vozila, ki je neprekinjeno različno obremenjen in podvržen okoljskim vplivom, kot sta npr. povišana temperatura in vlaga. Delo podaja ugotovitve in predstavitve v zvezi z uporabo termoplasta za tako obremenjen nosilni element v vozilu. V zaključku je predstavljena ekonomska upravičenost oziroma prednost nosilca motorja iz termoplasta pred nosilcem motorja iz aluminijeve litine, izdelanega s postopkom tlačnega litja. Pri razvoju nosilca motorja iz termoplasta je bilo najtežje definirati mejne pogoje in pogoje za numerične analize ter testiranje, ker do nastanka dela ni bilo mnogo zapisov, vezanih na to temo. Zato je bilo treba izpeljati mnogo različnih testiranj, ki so vključevala različna temperaturna območja ter stopnje vlage, zato da smo pridobili znanje o odzivanju termoplasta na različne pogoje v okolju. Tako pridobljene podatke smo nato preverjali z rezultati numeričnih analiz.

Secondary title: Development of the engine mounting bracket made of thermoplastic
Secondary abstract: The postgraduate thesis presents the development process of the engine mounting bracket made of thermoplastic and intended for automotive industry. The bracket is constantly loaded with different loads and exposed to different environmental conditions, such as increased temperature and humidity. The postgraduate thesis focuses on the research that gives us the answer, whether thermoplastic is a suitable material for loaded vehicle parts, such as engine mounting brackets. The last part of the thesis includes the advantages (mass, price) of the engine mounting bracket made of thermoplastic compared to the aluminium pressure die cast bracket. A big challenge that we faced during the development phase of the thermoplastic engine mounting bracket, was to define the right boundary conditions for the numerical analysis and testing. The reason for this was the lack of relevant data for this kind of application of thermoplastic. However, in order to compensate the lack, we performed many tests of the engine mounting bracket made of thermoplastic at different temperatures and levels of humidity. All tests results were later compared with the results of the numerical analyses to obtain the procedure confirmation.
