Abstract

Secondary title: ǂThe ǂinfluence of physical factors on land use in the area of Goričko
Secondary abstract: The thesis is concerned with the impact of physio-geographic factors on land use in the area ofGoričko. Frequency distributions of selected physical factors and land use are presented in tables, with maps, graphs and descriptions. Correlations between land use and specific physical factors are presented with contingency tables and graphs; the correlation intensity is further calculated with the Cramer's coefficient. The highest correlations are between land use and the mean annual temperature (0.9999), the average annual precipitation (0.7133), the soil (0.393), and the reclassified slope (0.3885). Land use is less impacted by the aspect (0.3436), elevation (0.328), lithological basis (0.3192), which affects the soil that is formed on the surface, and to the aspect closely related factor, global solar radiation (0.3127). The lowest correlation is between land use and slope (0.2462). Data were obtained through digital elevation model (DEM 25), and further processed with the GIS software Idrisi Selva and Microsoft Excel.
