Abstract
Stroški razvoja informacijskih sistemov so postali tako veliki, da so mnoga podjetja postavljena pred zelo težko odločitev – zamenjati obstoječi informacijski sistem ali ga nadgraditi in posodobiti?
Razlogi za razmišljanje o zamenjavi informacijskega sistema so mnogokrat zastarelo izvajalsko okolje, ki ne izkorišča novejših tehnologij, neizkoriščene zmogljivosti obstoječe strojne opreme in počasnost masovnih obdelav.
Smernice paralelizacije in principi vzporedne obdelave naj bi omogočali obvladovanje časovne in procesne zahtevnosti masovnih obdelav v poslovnih aplikacijah.
V diplomskem delu smo zbrali skupek vzorcev, metrik in dobrih praks, ki nam pomagajo, ko se lotimo sprememb obstoječega informacijskega sistema, in jih uporabili na praktičnem primeru.

Expenses of the development of information systems are nowadays so high that many companies face a difficult decision – should they replace their existing system or rather invest in its extension and further development?
The reasons why an existing system should be replaced are in many cases connected with outdated development environment which does not exploit all possibilities offered by new technologies, unused hardware processing power as well as the low speed and processing power of batch processes.
Parallelization guidelines and principles of parallel processing should enable the management of processing power requirements and time-frame demands at batch processing in business applications.
Patterns, metrics and best practices, which are helpful when replacing and upgrading an existing information system, were studied and applied in a practical case study. |
