Abstract

Secondary title: OPTIMIZATION OF DISTRIBUTION NETWORK OPERATION BASED ON CHANGING CONFIGURATION AND GENERATION OF REACTIVE POWER
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis deals with an existing distribution network. Its operation is optimized through the reconfiguration and reactive power generation. The models of power system elements, like power lines, transformers, loads and power generation units, applied in the distribution system model inside optimization procedure, are presented. The distribution system model obtained in this way is confirmed through the comparison of measured and calculated results. The optimization goal is utilization of existing network infrastructure to supply an industrial costumer with increased load demand, simultaneously providing a proper voltage profile in the network. Larger power generation units in the discussed network increase the voltage profile. To provide a proper voltage profile the network reconfigurations, considering radial as well as operation in the loop, are applied together with the inductive character reactive power generation.
