Abstract

Secondary title: ENHANCED MULTIMEDIA CALLER IDENTIFICATION ON PEBBLE SMARTWATCH
Secondary abstract: This thesis represents the design and implementation of an enhanced multimedia caller identification solution built for a multimedia-limited Pebble Time platform. The Pebble platform was explored and its limits were identified. Various dithering methods and error diffusion algorithms were thoroughly examined. Based on the analysis, the architecture that displays an image of the caller with a proper color depth illusion was designed. In that way the partial comparability with competitive smartwatches was achieved. We evaluated the solution with automatically collected real user data. The proposed result of this thesis represents the first solution, which upgrades Pebble smartwatch in this form and thus makes it more competitive with much more powerful competition.
