Abstract

Predmet obravnave diplomskega dela je opisati glavne značilnosti lesene gradnje. Navedli smo njihove pozitivne in negativne učinke na okolje in človeka. Obravnavali smo razlike med leseno in klasično gradnjo. Opisali smo načine lesene gradnje v preteklosti in odnos Slovencev do uporabe lesa v gradbeništvu. Podrobneje smo si ogledali vrste lesnih konstrukcij. Opisali smo, kakšna je moderna gradnja in kakšni so obeti za prihodnost v gradbeništvu. Raziskali smo, kateri način gradnje je okolju prijaznejši in energetsko varčnejši. Pokazalo se je, da je lesena gradnja energetsko bolj varčna in okolju bolj prijazna od klasične. Les je obnovljivi gradbeni material, gozdovi iz ozračja odvzemajo CO2, ki je varno skladiščen v lesu. Les nam daje tudi občutek domačnosti in topline.

Secondary abstract: The issue of the thesis is to describe the main characteristics of wooden construction. Their positive and negative effects on the environment and people are explained. We discussed the differences between wooden and classic construction. Methods of wooden construction in the past are described and also the attitude of Slovenians towards the use of wood in construction. We have written about the types of timber structures in details. There is a description of a modern building and the prospects for the future in the construction industry. We had explored which type of construction is more environmentally friendly and energy saving. We came to a conclusion that the wooden construction is more energy efficient and more environmentally friendly than conventional construction. Wood is a renewable building material, forests withdraw CO2 from the atmosphere, so CO2 is safely stored in wood. Wood also gives us a sense of domestic warmth.
