Secondary abstract: | Modern society, with an increasing consumption, are generating more and more waste which contributes to bigger burden on our the environment. The future of waste disposal is closely linked to environmental protection which is followed by both European and Slovenian legislation waste management, and which strives to make as much waste re-used either as secondary raw materials or as energy to generate new energy. By placing such facilities for thermal waste treatment in our environment, we can significantly reduce the quantity of our waste and its impact on our environment. The purpose of this study is to present technology called plasma gasification of municipal waste and indicate the broad possibilities of using it our environment. |
