Abstract

V diplomski nalogi smo opisali vzpostavitev odprtokodnega nadzornega sistema NagiOS na platformi UNIX, pripravo ustreznih konfiguracijskih datotek s pomočjo spletnega vmesnika NConf. Za namene nadzora pretoka količine podatkov po posameznih segmentih omrežja je bilo nameščeno orodje MRTG. Sistem je bil vzpostavljen z namenom boljšega in natančnejšega pregleda nad omrežjem in delovanjem strežnikov. Delovanje sistema smo preizkusili na računalniškem omrežju in na strežnikih v srednje velikem podjetju v Mariboru. Na podlagi praktičnih primerov smo pozneje prilagodili nekatere parametre.

Secondary abstract: In this Diploma thesis, we have described the establishment of the NagiOS open-source monitoring system on a UNIX platform, the development of appropriate configuration files through the NConf web interface. For the purposes of data volume flow monitoring for individual segments of the network, the MRTG tool has been installed. The system was established with the aim of a better and more accurate overview of the network and the servers' operation. The operation of the system was tested on a computer network and servers in a medium-sized company in Maribor. On the basis of practical examples, we have later adjusted some of the parameters.
