Abstract

Secondary title: ANALYSIS OF THE ELECTRIC DRIVE SYSTEM OF THE LOCOMOTIVE 644
Secondary abstract: In the introduction of the diploma there is data from which it is evident how diverse are vehicles of Slovenian railways. We approach main problematics with the description of the diesel electric locomotive 644 and its function. In addition, we focus on defects of the traction motors D29 which are installed in the locomotives 644. The solutions were discovered thought the analysis of technical defects and after carrying out the measurements, electrical and mechanical alike. The most effective solution discovered was the total repair of traction motor D29. Furthermore, the proposed solutions were performed in practice. After a while the total repair of traction motor D29 turned out to be the most effective, because the number of defects has dropped substantially.
