Abstract
Pacient potrebuje zdravstveno vzgojo o astmi, saj mora poznati način in pravilno uporabo zdravil, metode lajšanja simptomatike, izogibanja faktorjem, ki bolezen poslabšujejo, in načine, kako ravnati v primeru astmatičnega napada.
Metoda dela: Uporabili smo deskriptivna metodo dela.
Diskusija in zaključek: Če želi imeti pacient z diagnosticirano astmo kljub bolezni urejeno življenje, mora upoštevati navodila zdravnika in zdravstveno-vzgojno delo medicinske sestre.

Health education of the patient with a asthma in a reference clinic |
| Secondary abstract: |
Theoretical background: Asthma is a widespread chronic disease. In combination with allergic rhinitis, the disease has an impact on the whole respiratory airway. Due to applying the appropriate ways of using medicaments, methods of decreasing symptoms, avoiding asthma-related factors, and reacting in case of an asthmatic attack successfully, the patient needs to take part in healthcare education. The nurse plays a crucial role in informing the patient about his/her disease and controlling his/her knowledge about it. Last but not least, it is up to every single patient, whether he/she takes the instructions under consideration or not to have his/her asthma regulated and under control, and to better his/her quality of life.
Research methodology: The research has been undertaken on behalf of a grown-up female patient with regulated and controlled asthma. The patient has been interviewed according to 11 functional patterns by Marjory Gordon.
Results: The research has shown that asthma has a great impact on patient’s everyday life, as she has to get adjusted to the demands of the disease, and has to avoid all the factors maximizing the symptoms. The results of the interview with the patient with regulated and controlled asthma have confirmed that, according to 11 functional patterns by Marjory Gordon, problems occur when speaking of nutrition and metabolic process, secretion, physical activity, self-perception, and coping with stressful situations. 11 functional patterns by Marjory Gordon are thought to be a well-founded way to treat a patient with asthma in the reference outpatients’ department holistically.
Discussion and conclusion: If a patient with diagnosed asthma wants to lead a settled life, he/she has to pay regard to doctors’ instructions and nurses’ healthcare education. |
