Abstract

Diplomsko delo predstavlja proces uvedbe geografskega informacijskega sistema (GIS) v aplikacijo MiSmart. Cilj diplomskega dela je bil določiti ključne elemente GIS, ki sodijo v aplikacijo MiSmart, jih razviti in smiselno vključiti v aplikacijo. Rezultat diplomskega dela je nova verzija aplikacije MiSmart z dodanimi funkcionalnostmi GIS. Aplikacija sedaj omogoča vnos, shranjevanje in prikaz geografskih podatkov. Za razvoj funkcionalnosti GIS smo uporabili odprtokodno knjižnico OpenLayers in brezplačne spletne zemljevide OpenStreetMap (OSM). Z uporabo knjižnice OpenLayers, ene najbolj naprednih knjižnic za prikaz spletnih zemljevidov, smo postavili trdne temelje za nadaljnji razvoj funkcionalnosti GIS v okviru aplikacije MiSmart. Nekaj možnosti nadaljnjega razvoja smo podrobno opredelili v zaključku.

Secondary abstract: This thesis presents the implementation process of a Geographic Information System (GIS) in MiSmart application. The objective of the thesis was to determine key elements of GIS, that should be a part of MiSmart application, develop and appropriately include them in the application. The result of the thesis is a new version of the application with added GIS functionalities. The application now supports setting, storing and display of geographic data. We developed the GIS functionalities using an open source OpenLayers library and free OpenStreetMap (OSM) web maps. With the use of OpenLayers, one of the most advanced web mapping libraries, we established a solid foundation for further development of GIS functionalities in MiSmart application. We describe some of the options of further development thoroughly in the final chapter.
