Abstract

Secondary title: UNIVERSAL CONTROL UNIT FOR A HOUSE
Secondary abstract: In this diploma work, comprehensive automatic control of heating systems in a residential house is described and the challenges solved. Present control systems for a combination of central heating and hot water boilers in a residential facility were examined and it was determined what technology is needed. A universal control unit was developed for a given house with three different sources of central heating and DHW heating. The heating sources were solid fuel (wood), fuel oil, and solar thermal panels. The control unit consists of an existing microcontroller board to which additional sensors were added for measuring temperature. Software was developed to produce a system that complements the existing equipment to automate optimal use of heating resources.
