Abstract

Secondary title: Preference of customers for the development of charging infrastructure of electric vehicles
Secondary abstract: In the research paper we have studied the field of infrastructure for electric vehicles, while considering user preferences. The theoretical part is about electric vehicles and their development, charging infrastructure, the characteristics of the charging stations, charging modules in the station and the types of sockets. It is also about the infrastructure in Slovenia and abroad, with the consideration of the project Central European Green Corridors (CEGS). The empirical part of the research paper focuses around a survey, which resulted in a collection of factual data. This data brought us closer to the following objective: to determine the preferences of existing and potential users of electric cars and how to familiarize the usefulness of the charging stations. On the basis of this data, we came to a conclusion that there are two factors which are crucial for the electric vehicles: charging speed and the location of the stations. We have noticed a major problem with users’ unawareness regarding the infrastructure for electric vehicles. We analyzed the hypotheses, some of them were confirmed and some were denied. In the end we also added suggestions for further development of the charging infrastructure which is, considering the survey, extremely important.
