Abstract

V teoretičnem delu so opredeljene in opisane različne oblike nasilja. Psihično nasilje, fizično, spolno, ekonomsko nasilje in zanemarjanje otroka. Podatke, pridobljene s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, smo obdelali s programom SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) in jih prikazali tabelarično. Strokovni delavci niso najbolje seznanjeni z nasiljem v družini in z možnostmi ukrepanja ob prepoznavi nasilja nad otrokom. Mlajši strokovni delavci v vrtcu lažje prepoznajo znake nasilja kot starejši in tudi bolj izobraženi (diplomirani vzgojitelji) lažje prepoznajo nasilje in znajo bolje ukrepati.

Secondary title: THE OCCURRENCE OF VIOLENCE IN THE FAMILY OF A PRESCHOOL CHILD
Secondary abstract: The thesis "the occurrence of domestic violence in the family of a preschool child" consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part, different forms of violence are defined and described. Psychological violence, physical, sexual, economic violence, and child neglect. We describe different causes for the occurrence of domestic violence (a common cause is alcoholism), the consequences that the children face, and the telltale signs professionals can use to recognize children are experiencing domestic violence. We define the role of the educator when there is suspicion of violence against children, which is very important, especially their communication with the child. We describe certain dilemmas that we may face and what measures an educator can take, when they recognize domestic violence in the family of a preschool child (who they may turn to, who to ask for help, and how to react in such a situation). In the empirical part, results of the questionnaire on the topic of domestic violence in the family a preschool child are presented. The sample contains educators and assistants of educators in kindergartens in the area of Novo mesto. We wanted to find out the cause of violence in the family of a preschool child, what type of violence occurs the most, how informed employees are when it comes to violence, and how they act. Data, obtained by means of a survey questionnaire, has been processed with the SPSS program (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) and displayed in tabular form. The results of the research have shown that the most common form of violence in Novo is child neglect. Professionals are not very informed about domestic violence and ways to act when you recognize violence against children. Younger professionals in the kindergarten are more likely to recognize signs of violence as compared to older ones. More educated (educators with a university degree) ones also have an easier time recognizing violence and can act more effectively.
