Abstract

Laborant je bil kot profil vpeljan v slovensko osnovno šolo šele z uvedbo devetletke. Delovno mesto je regulirano s pravilniki in drugimi pravnimi akti. Kljub temu pa realna situacija zaposlenih pokaže položaj laboranta v drugačni luči, kar je potrdil tudi pregled nekaterih raziskav in pobud ustreznih domačih in tujih državnih institucij s tega področja, ki so predstavljene v teoretičnem delu naloge. V empiričnem delu je bila uporabljena metoda poklicne biografije. V raziskavi so sodelovale laborantke večjih slovenskih osnovnih šol. Namen diplomskega dela je bil ugotoviti vlogo laboranta v osnovni šoli - dela in naloge, ki jih laboranti opravljajo, pogoje dela, stopnjo njihove izobrazbe, načrtovanje dela, možnosti dodatnega strokovnega izpopolnjevanja, komunikacijo in sodelovanje z nosilcem predmeta, probleme, s katerimi se srečujejo pri svojem delu, in kako je njihovo delo ovrednoteno. Raziskava je med drugim pokazala na ponovno problematiko, da predpisana obveza laboranta pri urah naravoslovnih predmetov ustreza njegovi polni zaposlitvi šele na treh dvooddelčnih osnovnih šolah. Rezultati tako med drugim kažejo na še vedno nerešeno situacijo laborantov, ki so bili načrtno uvedeni v šole zaradi bolj kakovostnega in sodobnejšega, z raziskovanjem podprtega eksperimentalnega dela, pri katerem je laborant nepogrešljiv sodelavec v učnem procesu. Rezultati raziskave izpostavljajo še izredno velik obseg in nizko vrednotenje dela kljub izkazani višji izobrazbi zaposlenih laborantov od zahtevane. V zaključnem delu diplomske naloge so nakazani predlogi za izboljšanje obstoječega stanja.

Secondary title: Laboratory assistant for chemistry in primary school
Secondary abstract: Laboratory assistant has been introduced as a profile in Slovenian primary school with the introduction of the nine-year primary school. The workplace is regulated by the regulations and other legal acts. However, the real situation of employees indicates the position of a laboratory assistant in a different light, as confirmed by a review of some studies and initiatives of relevant domestic and foreign state institutions in this field, which are presented in the theoretical part of the thesis. Method of professional biography was applied in the empirical part. The study involved laboratory assistants of bigger Slovenian primary schools. The purpose of the study was to determine the role of a laboratory assistant in primary school - work and tasks performed by laboratory assistants engaged, working conditions, their level of education, work scheduling, additional opportunities for professional development, communication and cooperation with the lecturer, problems encountered in their work and how their work is evaluated. The survey revealed, inter alia, that the determined working hours of laboratory assistants at science lessons correspond to their full time employment only at three two-class primary schools. The results also demonstrate the still unresolved situation of laboratory assistants, who were deliberately introduced into schools due to better quality and more modern, research-based experimental work in which the laboratory assistant is an indispensable partner in the learning process. The survey results expose still exceptionally high extent and low valuation of work in spite of the fact that employed laboratory assistants have higher level of education than required. In the final part of the thesis proposals for improving the existing situation are indicated.
