diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študijskega programa I. stopnje
Abstract

SOLUBILITY OF ORGANIC SOLVENTS IN GASES AT LOW PRESSURES |
Secondary abstract: |
The aim of this thesis is to measure equilibrium solubility of organic solvents in the gases at low pressures . For systems carbon dioxide - methyl acetate and propane - propyl acetate phase behavior was studied, which means the influence of pressure and temperature on miscibility, solubility and possible inversion of phases. Solubilities were determined by a static - analytical method, at temperatures of 40°C, 60°C and 80°C in a high pressure optical cell in the range of pressures from 10 bar up to 60 bar. Then, solubility was calculated using appropriate computer software and effect of temperature and pressure on solubility was investigated. It is evident that even small changes in presssure and temperature reflect in large changes of fluid density and its solvent power.
Results are shown in tables and graphs where solubility is presented as a function of pressure, temperature or gas density. |
