Abstract

Uporabnik si lahko opremljen prostor ogleda v navidezni resničnosti z uporabo očal Oculus Rift.

Secondary title: USING VIRTUAL REALITY FOR VISUALISATION OF INTERIOR FURNISHING
Secondary abstract: In this diploma thesis we have firstly investigated the field of software solutions that enable interior furnishing of places in a virtual reality. We will present their good and bad sides and on this basis decided to create a software solution, which would allow us to capture the advantages and eliminate the drawbacks of existing software solutions. This was followed by presentation of a Unity engine, which was primarily intended for the production of 3D or 2D games. Then basic functionalities, designing and production of software solution are described. In presentation of the basic functionalities we described functionalities of the terrain or. surface, method of object manipulation and the use and operation of scripts. We presented and described the use of component "Rigidbody", the making of the user interface, the use of different types of lighting, presentation and use of shaders and use of the built-in first or third person controller. In planning of the software solution we presented ideas about storing and loading a scene, which the user saves, finding a solution for inserting the model into the scene and planning functionalities of our software solution. In the last part of the thesis we described in detail the making of the software solution. The aim of this thesis was to create a software solution, which allows the user to place his or her interior furnishing in the apartment according to his or her taste. The software solution was primarily based on inserting person’s own 3D models and selected textures. The user can view furnished room in a virtual reality using Oculus Rift headset.
